The story of a startup not letting vacation planning to chance.

Approached by a former Yahoo! developer that wanted to “create something that can help him find out ‘what’s going on’”, I undertook a research journey that formulated a new persona, specific use cases and pain points. A travel companion, ISoPlanIt.com, was born.

intro

Designed a digital itinerary tool with the aim of helping travelers find venues and events in far away places, and coordinate travel plans with friends and colleagues. I used surveys, user interviews and usability testing to gather data. Key deliverables were persona development, user journeys, wireframes, prototypes and a fully functional website.

the tldr:

“What do I do tonight?”

Friday arrives and you think: “What do I do tonight?” He thought: There has to be a place where I can quickly hop on and find things to do. Many interviews, focus groups and on-site studies later, many lessons were learned and even more ideas were scrapped. This resulted in a guide for travelers where they learn about events and venues and organize trips with friends.
